Mission Statement

Well, all good space flights begin with 'The Mission' and Slayers all knew that 'The Mission is what matters'. So, as a geek-friendly zone, prone to the occasional nerdgasm, where all manner of serious, not-so-serious, heartfelt and passionate conversations, ranging from space to cylons, vampires to daleks, what it means to be human, or whether Buffy was in reality a reluctant boddhisattva, are not only likely to take place, but will be positively encouraged to take place, it seems only fair we should have a mission statement.

What we want to do at Nathan Fillion is My Imaginary Best Friend is provide a place to talk about TV shows, movies and books that love story, that deal with big ideas in futuristic, fantastical and sci-fi forms, or that just have a frakking good tale to tell.

So, feel free to join in the conversation. Email us if you have a passionate few hundred words to share and we'll slap it up online.

Maybe you've written something along the lines of 'Fraying, Mourning, Visioning: Erasure in Joss Whedon and the Progenitive Assimilation of Darkness in Buffy The Vampire Slayer'* and, you know, that's cool in a PoMo meets geek kinda way, but we’ll probably be writing something more along the lines of 'Sacrifice or Suicide? Buffy’s leap of faith in “The Gift' in a style that even Don Watson would approve of.

And of course, whilst talking online is fun we might aim to get together on occasion, have a drink and share some of the really big ideas, the big emotions and the big discussion that story, good passionate, engrossing story, generates.
